Your business moves.
Your discovery should move with it.
Kapota supports verified businesses that operate from changing locations. Keep your registered address for verification, update your current operating location when you move, and let local discovery follow where you're doing business now.
No permanent storefront required to operate as a mobile business.
Move. Update. Get discovered locally.
A business on Kapota has two locations, and keeping them separate is what makes a moving business work.
- Registered address
- The address your business is verified against. It does not move.
- Current location
- Where you are operating right now. This is the one that changes, and it is what local discovery uses.
When you move to a new stop, you update your current location yourself, in Business Home. Kapota does not track your vehicle, does not broadcast your position continuously, and does not change your location for you. You tell it where you are, and local discovery reflects the operating location you set.
A food truck working a lunch spot and a different evening spot. A market vendor at a different event each weekend. A pop-up moving between venues. Those are illustrations of the pattern, not descriptions of existing Kapota businesses.
A new stop deserves a fresh deal.
A deal keeps the location it was published from. That is the right behaviour for an offer someone is meant to walk to, and it has one consequence worth knowing: a deal you published at this morning's stop stays attached to this morning's stop.
So when you move and you want an offer attached to where you are now, publish a fresh one from the new stop. There is nothing to ration. Deals are unlimited on every business tier, including the entry one.
Redemption is a QR scan plus a six-character code, so it works across a counter or a service window. A deal can also be set to expire on its own, which suits an offer that should last exactly as long as you are parked. Deal scheduling is not currently supported, so a deal goes live when you publish it.
The location can change. The customer relationship doesn't have to.
A customer scans your business QR to join your loyalty program, and that scan counts a visit. You decide what the reward is and how many visits it takes. Digital loyalty is available on every business tier.
Moving does not reset any of it. The loyalty relationship belongs to your business rather than to a pin on a map, so it continues regardless of how far a customer currently is from wherever you are set up today.
Reaching those customers again with recommended campaigns is what Growth Engine does. Growth Engine is available with Business Premium, not on every tier.
Local when you arrive. Connected after you leave.
At a stop, your current location is what places you in local discovery and what anchors any deal you publish there. That is the arriving half, and it resets every time you move.
After the visit, loyalty is what stays. On Business Premium, Growth Engine can help you re-engage new, returning and at-risk customers even when they are nowhere near you. Neither half promises anyone will show up. They decide what you are able to offer when they do.
Unlimited deals and digital loyalty are included on every business tier. No commissions. No ad auctions.
Wherever business takes you,
Kapota can meet you there.
Telling Kapota where you are takes a moment at the start of a shift. From there the local half of the app is pointed at the street you are actually on.
